Humans papillomavirus HPV that causes cancer affects 25 percent of men and 20 percent of women according to new government statistics.
People less than 25 years can be protected by vaccine from strains of HPV that causes a range of cancers.
Some HPV can cause genital warts, this have low risk of causing cancer. Other types causing cancer in different areas of the body like cervix, vagina, penis, anus and oropharynx are considered high risk.
According to experts, 70 percent of all head and neck cancer are caused by HPV and it affected more men than women.
