Bloating occurs when the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is filled with gas, it is associated with pain, excessive gas, frequent burping and abdominal rumbling. It may be caused by excess air, Irritable Bowel Syndrome IBS, heartburn and food intolerance.

Regular consumption of plants based diet can aids digestion and prevents bloating, Don’t talk when eating, chewing foods slowly and properly can also help. Reducing intake of caffeine, alcohol, sugary drinks, milk and junk foods can prevent bloating.

Live probiotic, yoghurts, supplements and fermented drinks can reduce bloating. Reduce intake of pasta, potato, ripe bananas, and carbonated drinks. Drink enough water and avoid sedentary lifestyle.
